Summary:
K-REV Christian Radio Announcers Jacob interacts with K-REV’s reporter Becca with a startling breaking news K-REVelation.

JACOB
You’re listening to the All-new Digital Family-friendly Christian Radio Network K-REV.  The top story this morning is a story that went viral on the internet over the weekend.  Bob and Marcia—regular listeners of K-REV—went to a rummage sale in Queens, New York on Saturday and purchased a cup.  What’s the big deal about a cup purchased from a rummage sale?  We have K-REV’s own Becca on the scene for a live report and a press conference.  Becca?

BECCA
Thanks Jake.  I’m standing in the middle of Hauser Street in Queens outside of Bob and Marcia’s home.  The street is packed with curious onlookers and dozens of reporters, along with satellite trucks, cameras, microphones, wires and the hum of small generators.

JACOB
For those who haven’t seen it on the internet yet or heard about it on the news, why is this cup so special?  It’s just a plain old wooden cup, right?

BECCA
Apparently from what I’ve read and what I’m hearing as I talk to people on the scene, this is an extraordinary cup.  It’s an ancient wooden chalice, vacuum sealed and carefully secured in a glass case.  There is one scripture etched on the metal base, from Psalm 23:5, “My cup runneth over.”

JACOB
Ahhh, so that’s why they’re calling it The Psalm 23 Cup?

BECCA
Right!  Marcia happened to be at the rummage sale with a local T.V. reporter.  The reporter mentioned the cup on the news along with a cell phone photo of it over the weekend.   The report went viral, and here we are camping out on the street.

JACOB
What’s the buzz?  Why all the interest over an old wooden cup?

BECCA
The rumors are flying that this chalice is the cup.

JACOB
You mean the cup, as in THE cup?

BECCA
Yes!  Many are claiming it is the Holy Grail—the cup Jesus used in the Last Supper.  It’s sparked worldwide interest in just a few hours.  It’s exciting just to be here.

JACOB
When is the press conference?

BECCA
Any minute now.

JACOB
What are the people saying around you?

BECCA
Some are saying this is all a hoax—just a distraction to keep our minds off of the upcoming election.  Others are true believers and they really want to know if it’s true…Okay, they are about to start.  Here we go!  Let me switch it over.

GARY
Good Afternoon.  Thank you all for coming out here on this glorious day in Queens.  I called this press conference to address the rumors flying around our city and the world regarding The Psalm 23 Cup.  I will turn this over to Bob and Marcia who will tell the story of how this happened. I will defer my comments to the end.  Thank you.

BOB
Hi dare.  Marcia and I were rummagin’ on Saturday.   Usually I just sit in da car and wait but for some reason dat day I went to da house wit her.

MARCIA
Yeah, I wuz lookin’ for some clothes for my grandkids when I saws this cup sittin behind a space heater on an old table.  I asked the lady if it was for sale.  She says, ‘Yes.’  I asked, ‘How Much?’ She says, ‘You can have it for 20 bucks.’  I thought to myself, that’s pretty cheap for an antique.

BOB
So we bought it.  As we were payin’ fer it, a nosy female-type reporter started askin’ all kinds-a questions and took a picture of it.

MARCIA
She was sooooo nice.

BOB
(mocking Marcia) She was soooo nice.  She was so nosy, is what she was.

MARCIA
But amazing things have happened since we’ve had this cup at our house.

BOB
Suddenly my arthritis is gone!

MARCIA
Thank you, Lord…  Gary?

GARY
Thanks Bob and Marcia.  What matters here that as believers in Christ it doesn’t matter if an old relic shows up or not: we live by faith in Him and His Word.  That being said, I do believe that this cup was brought back to the world for such a time as this.  It’s here to remind us all one more time Jesus died for our sins.  It’s time to repent!  We’ll take no questions at this time.  Thank you.

BECCA
That’s it for now. Jake?

JACOB
Much to think about—thanks.
