The top story in today’s news is the claim that the actual Ark of the Covenant has been discovered in Egypt. An archeological team is reported from Valley of the Kings last night and shocked the world. Protesters surrounded the museum where the ark now resides, demanding that the Jewish artifact be extradited to Israel. Sources in the State Department are reporting this morning that three ancient Egyptian statues in the same room in the museum were found crashed to the floor, bowing before the Ark of the Covenant. The museum strongly denies the claims from the protesters that the Americans smashed the statues. Tensions have risen in all of Egypt, as the protests and violence has escalated. JAKE Thanks Mike. Today we have a special guest to comment on this shocking news. MIKE Yes sir. We asked Pastor Anthony from the local church near KREV headquarters to stop by and weigh in on the ongoing developments in Egypt. Good Morning, Pastor. ANTHONY Good Mornin’, Mike’n Jake! JAKE Good Morning. MIKE So, Pastor, we understand you are an expert on end time events. What does the discovery of the actual Ark of the Covenant mean regarding the timeline of end time events? ANTHONY First of all, I just want to tell you both thank you for having me on your show. I know the KREV network is heard all around the world through the internet, and the good news of the development needs to be explained. The Ark of the Covenant is the missing piece of furniture for the new Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. I read online just before I came on the air that the Temple Mount Faithful are about to break ground on the new Temple. A great excitement has swept through the entire nation of Israel, as well as a sense of urgency as threats from many terrorist groups and terrorist-sympathizing nations. JAKE Mike just tweeted that he thinks the antichrist will be revealed to bring peace to all this tension in Israel. MIKE Awwwww…Jake, you weren’t supposed to tell. ANTHONY Mike, you are absolutely right. The man of lawlessness will step in and broker peace to this situation in Jerusalem; and in fact, he will encourage the building of the new Temple. The prophecy will be fulfilled, where he sits in the Temple and claim he is God. Let me read 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction. He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits in God’s sanctuary, publicizing that he himself is God. JAKE Twitter and Facebook are going crazy about the Ark of the Covenant. Mike just posted on Facebook by the video feed for this interview, “I agree with Pastor Anthony.” Just that post alone already has 430 likes. MIKE That is amazing. ANTHONY And, the antichrist will utilize the worldwide web to watch everyone who has any connection using any modern communication device. The world has slowly been lulled into accepting seeking technology rather than the pure presence and Word of God. Don’t get me wrong; we utilize every means of electronic outreach we can, and have reached thousands around the world, but there is nothing compared to a true personal encounter with Jesus and his interconnected bride, the church—in person.
