K-REV Radio Announcer  Brandon
K-REV Radio Announcer Ann
Ashley

Summary:
K-REV Christian Radio announces their new give-away promotion:  Operation Faith Lift.
Ashley, one of the recipients of the promotion, calls in for help.

(K-REV Announcers Brandon and Ann are seated at an angled table, stage-left. with microphones on the table.  Both Announcers are wearing large headphones covering their ears.)

BRANDON
You’re listening to the All-new Digital Family-friendly Christian Radio Network K-REV.
And today we are announcing a new give-away promotion.  Are you ready?

(Sound effect:  clapping and cheers)

ANN
We are ready!   Whatcha got for our listeners today?

BRANDON
We’ve shipped thousands of Microsoft’s new FlexPSDs to all our stations all over the world.  We want to give ‘em all away to our wonderful listeners!

ANN
Um, Brandon.

BRANDON
What, Ann?

ANN
What is a Microsoft Flax-B-F-Z?

(Sound effect:  laughter)

BRANDON
No, silly, it’s a Flex-P-S-D. It stands for Flexible Personal Scroll Device.  Basically, it’s like a laptop built-into a flexible, thin material that rolls up.

ANN
And we’re giving these away?

BRANDON
Yep!

ANN
What’s the catch?

BRANDON
The only requirement is that the blessed listeners who receive these will have the K-REV logo always appearing on their FlexPSD.

ANN
Do you have one I can see?

BRANDON
Let me check—

(Ashley starts walking toward the stage from behind the audience, holding a scrolled up poster board in one hand; and has a blue tooth device in her ear)

ANN
Wait – we have a caller on the line.  Ashley?

ASHLEY
Yes--is this Ann on K-REV?

ANN
You betcha.  What’s your question?

ASHLEY
Hi, it’s sooo good to talk with you guys.  I just picked up my FlexPSD at my local K-REV Station.

BRANDON
How do you like it so far, Ashley?

(Ashley walks up on stage, standing stage right)

ASHLEY
I love it!  (unscrolls the FlexPSD)  I have a question for you guys.

ANN
Is it workin’?

ASHLEY
It works great.  It opens right up to the K-REV site.  Big K-REV logo… and… right now there’s video of you guys talking.  (she holds up the FlexPSD, as if holding it up to the light)
But—

BRANDON
What’s goin’ on?

ASHLEY
Where do I go if I want to enter a video Prayer Request?

BRANDON
Scroll down.

ASHLEY
(places the FlexPSD down on the stage) Okay, I put it on the ground.  Now what?

ANN
No, Ashley, I think he meant scroll the K-REV page down.

BRANDON
Yeah, just use your finger on the button on the right as you’re lookin’ at the page.

ASHLEY
(picks the FlexPSD back up, unscrolls it, then places one finger on the page)  Oh….I see!
Oh…and one more thing.

ANN
Yes?

ASHLEY
Can I read the Bible on your site, too?

ANN
Yes you can!  There’s a link on the left side on the main page called “READ THE WORD”.

ASHLEY
Ahhh—oh…

BRANDON
Do you see it?

ASHLEY
There it is!   Thank you both sooo much for all your help.

ANN
Hey, Ashley, would you like to do your Prayer Request live on the air with us?

ASHLEY
Sure, that’d be great.

BRANDON
Just a sec, Ashley, we need to tie K-REV into the Prayer Request system.

ASHLEY
Okay.  I’m nervous.

ANN
Don’t be nervous.  Just be yourself.

BRANDON
Okay, Ashley.  Click on the Prayer Request link on the right side of the scroll with your finger.

ASHLEY
Okay.

BRANDON
Click on the Start button.

ASHLEY
Okay.

ANN
Go ahead.  Hit the Stop button when you’re done.

ASHLEY
Hi K-REV family and friends, my name is Ashley.  I have an urgent prayer request for my family.  My brother Denny is a junior in High School and his best friend Parker tried to commit suicide last night.  Please pray for Parker’s family and for Denny.  It’s really hit him hard.  He spent the whole night in the hospital, waiting to see if Parker would make it.  Now Denny’s talkin’ non-sense--like he wants to commit suicide, too.  Please pray.  (pauses)
It’s so sad… why do kids think that checking out is the only answer?

ANN
Suicide is not the answer. There is only one answer when you think there’s no way out of a situation.

BRANDON
Jesus is the answer.  When you are down, only Jesus can lift you up through his people.

ANN
I encourage you to go to the hospital today and pray for both of them. Lift them up with faith.

ASHLEY
I will.  Thank you sooo much.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.   Hebrews 11:6 (King James Version)
